LinkedTube – Awesome tool for affiliates

Have you always wanted to harness the power of video on your site? It’s easy to do now using LinkedTube – you can create video creatives using existing YouTube videos and the links and copy of your choice. Here’s a sample of a Greg Laurie video ad I created using my Shareasale affiliate link and an excerpt from Greg Laurie’s documentary “Lost Boy”

New landing page and creatives posted for FibroandFatigue.com affiliates

We’re excited to announce that the affiliates of the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers (FFC) now have some awesome new resources to help them earn commissions in the FibroandFatigue.com affiliate program.   As of this afternoon, a new landing page that is 100% focused on closing the lead transaction with no distracting navigation or phone numbers was live and a new set of banners was uploaded for affiliate use.   In addition, the new landing page promotes an ebook ” Take Back Your Life -  Strategies and Solutions for Overcoming Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue” that combines over 3 years of information published previously in the FFC Newsletter.

AB178 Nexus language added to CA budget bill

And it’s time for round three apparently…

On Monday, June 22nd a group of us will be headed to the California State Capitol yet again to fight what is now known as the “Amazon Tax” or “Internet Advertising Tax”. We’d love to have you in attendance if you can make it. Please contact me for more details if you are available.

If you are unable to make it on such short notice (believe me, they sprung this on us last minute), please give us your support by contacting your Legislator via email, phone and twitter using the contact list I created below.

They prefer to hear from their own constituents of course and honestly, it’s people that live in their own district that seem to make the biggest impact. They don’t like upsetting their own voters. You can locate your representative via zip code here.

New Facebook URLs and Your Trademarks

Tonight at 12:01 am EST, Facebook will finally be offering vanity urls as a new feature. This has been available for quite some time with other social networks such as LinkedIn and MySpace, but this is the first time it has been a part of Facebook. What this means is that users may select a vanity username for their url rather than a long alphanumeric string. There is more information available directly from Facebook here and here.

What does this mean to merchants? If you have a fan page that had over 1,000 fans as of May 31, 2009, you are fine and will be able to register your username at 12:01pm EST just like all the other Facebook users who had accounts prior to that date. If your fan page has less than 1,000 fans or was registered after May 31, 2009, it looks like you’ll have to wait until June 28, 2009. To keep people from registering actual trademarks as these new usernames however, Facebook has added a new form to help actual trademark owner prevent these types of registrations: Trademark Registration.

Did someone already take your brand? Fill out the Notice of Intellectual Property Infringement form to get started on getting it back.

Facebook has also provided a great FAQ as well that answers most questions. Be sure to register your username tonight or register your trademarks with Facebook today so they are protected, the sooner the better!
