The Genesis Box

We mentioned this in our February newsletter, but in case you missed it or are new to the StudioPress program (welcome!), we thought we’d mention it again! You may have seen the Genesis Box on other successful StudioPress affiliate’s sites and to add one to your own is a very straightforward, three step process. Brian Gardner himself has written a fabulous walk through here.

It consists of:

Creating the Genesis Box Content
Including the Genesis Box on Single Posts and
Styling the Genesis Box to Match Your Site

In using the walk through, use the following code in Step 1 and be certain to replace !!USERID!! with your own ShareASale affiliate id and !!WEBSITE!! with your own site name:

Tapestry and Focus – New StudioPress Child Themes

StudioPress recently launched two new child themes, Tapestry and Focus!

The Tapestry Child Theme is the newest StudioPress theme and was just launched this week! This This Tumblog-style child theme takes advantage of the new post formats available in WordPress 3.1 to customize the presentation of a post and is definitely worth checking out.

The Focus Child Theme is the second of StudioPress’ themes that utilizes the new Genesis Grid Loop that displays featured posts at the top of a homepage and a grid-like area of post excerpts at the bottom. It also comes with 3 color style options.
